A DREAM COME TRUE
“It starts with a dream. Add faith and it becomes a belief. Add action and it becomes a part of life. Add perseverance and it becomes a goal in sight. Add patience and time and it ends with A DREAM COME TRUE.” To begin with I’d like to thank the almighty and my parents.
Without them this would have been impossible. Right from the Etihad experience to the snowfall in Russia it will be the most memorable ‘2 weeks of my life’. The first day at Paris, the visit to the Eiffel Tower was great. The next day was in Deutschland – Mein Lieblings Land. We attended lectures with students and spent the remaining half of the day with a family and communicating with them in German was a wonderful experience. When the family says “You really speak well in German, in 2 years you’ve learnt the language really well”, to hear this from them left me elated.
The next day was in Holland. The cheese, wooden shoe factory and the Keukenhof – Tulip garden were places worth visiting .On 5th May 17 an hour in the kolner Dom felt so peaceful. Schwarzwald and Cuckoo clock were beautiful and interesting places. An evening at Lake Constance felt enthralling feet in ice cold water, cool breeze, lovely chirping of the birds and lush green trees couldn’t get better, could it? Rheinfall, Zurich Tanzt, Zurich Hauptbahnhof in Switzerland were also delightful. Cable car experience in Austria was spectacular. Checkpoint Charlie, Fernsehturm, Berlin wall, DW, Brandenburger tower, Parliament , 2nd world war Memorial were places I heard of when I was studying German in Std. 11th.
And was always anxious to know what it looked like in reality. To witness it in front of my eyes was majestic and far beyond my imagination. Enroute Russia – My first experience with snow on the 11th of May 2017 was superb. The feel of snow was breathtaking. The Red Square, Churches, Cathedrals, Metro stations, Seven sisters, World war memorial were superfluous and magnificent. As with any journey – who you travel with can be more important than your destination – Sir, Ma’am, Crazy friends made the time spent more special. The breakfast served with varieties of salamis, fruits, breads, yoghurts were truly tantalizing.
“We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone”- 1500+photos to cherish for the rest of my life. All in all this journey was an unforgettable and memorable one.
